all is well? in Hi This is Kat!

Jo’s surgery went well and it only took about 40 mins! They almost did not do it because her a1c was so high… So they gave her a bunch of insulin and the doctor went ahead and signed off…

After the surgery, she came out to talk to me and she was really angry!!! She was I never would have did the surgery if I knew her a1c was so high bla bla bla. She told me Jo’s arm will not heal if she does not get her numbers down asap… like tomorrow. She said she is shocked… she has never met anyone in her life that just did not care if their diabetes was so out of control and did nothing to try to help it bla bla bla… I just looked at her and said well you signed off on the surgery … not me.

I cannot control Jo… I am not her mom, her wife nor do I have a right to try to push jo… all I can do is explain and tell her I love her and that I want her to live longer and please take insulin… which I have told her many times only to fall upon deaf ears
