“Floating Twig Of Truth” Spell

This spell will show you 1 truth about any situation… whether it’s a question you have, or a choice you have to make.

This spell will clear the way.

What you’ll need:

One small coin for each of the choices you face. (Or possible truths about a situation, i.e. “He is being honest”… or “He is not being honest”)
A small round pan filled halfway with water
A fresh twig, stripped of its leaves
One small piece of paper for each option/truth
Approx ½ teaspoon of tea leaves
A pen or pencil

STEP 1: Take the pan, filled halfway with water and place it on your altar.

STEP 2: Sprinkle the tea leaves over the top of the water and leave it undisturbed for 1 hour.

STEP 3: After the hour has passed, take one small piece of paper for each choice and write the possible option or truth on it.

STEP 4: After you have written the possible truths/options on each piece of paper, arrange them, evenly spaced and face down, on the table around the pan. IMPORTANT: Make sure they are face down.

STEP 5: Now take each coin and dip it in the water, and after having dipped the coin, lay each on one of the pieces of paper.

STEP 6: Take the fresh twig, stripped of any leaves, and cut or break it to a length short enough that it will fit inside the pan with plenty of room to s pare. IMPORTANT: Do not allow the twig to get wet yet.

STEP 7: Scorch one end of the twig with a match. (This scorched end is the pointing end.)

STEP 8: Sit quietly at your altar, close your eyes, and hold the twig to your heart. Say: “May the Goddess guide my Magick Twig to reveal the truth.”

STEP 9: As you do this, think deeply about the situation you want to get the truth about. How does it make you feel? How would it feel to know the answer?

STEP 10: Hold the twig, scorched end down, arm’s length above the pan and drop it in.

STEP 11: Allow the twig to float freely. When it stops and remains in one position, determine to which of the possible truths the scorched end is pointing… this is your answer… the truth.

A word of caution… it’s possible the twig will NOT point to the truth you are hoping for. You have to be ready to accept that possibility.

Before you do this ritual make sure you are READY for the truth.

If you are NOT ready for the truth, it’s best to wait until you are and can accept any possibility with an open heart. In the end, the truth is always better than fantasy… because it Magickally clears a path for you to get what you want, in the real world, not just in your mind.
