I am taking part in #MyEDSChallenge and #MyHSDChallenge with the Ehlers Danlos Society. Since May is EDS awareness month, every day I will be sharing something about myself and my EDS journey to drive further awareness and community.

Day 1- You & Your Part of The World

My name is Dylanne, welcome to my world. I was diagnosed with HSD in 2020 when I was 31 after a lifetime of strange issues. In May of 2022 I was able to see Dr. Francomono in Indianapolis. While I dont meet the hEDS criteria (I was one point off), there is definitely issues with my tissues. My largest issues are neuropathy, specifically pudendal neuralgia, and vascular compressions such as maythurners, pelvic congestion & nutcrackers syndrome. I also have POTS and a variety of other issues that make living with HSD a nightmare.

I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and I am in the process of moving to Middle Tennessee. It is beautiful here, and I can’t wait to live here. I am in the process of rebuilding my life and starting over in 2023.
