Northern lights in Hello.

Last night we had really strong northern lights. I live in the very North of England, but apparently they could be seen as far south as Spain! We live opposite a patch of grass, so when John came home from work, we went and sat out and observed. I was in my pyjamas, and after a while got chilly. But John went in and got hot drinks, snacks and a blanket. The lights were spectacular. Even though we had a street light, they were so clear that we could see them dancing around. We were talking to other people who were out looking at them and I even bumped into a couple of ex colleagues!
I have to say, it was absolutely amazing. I was in total awe.
Today is a scorcher and I’m off work, woohoo! Me and Eleanor are off to the seaside shortly.

We could see them if you took pictures of the sky but whatever color was there was extremely faint to the naked eye. It’s also cloudy here . I was kind of sad because so many other places were seeing them well . I saw them once as a child and I never forgot how beautiful they were .
