The last two were at my favorite marsh in northern Iowa, which I'm sure you know. The bird is an egret.
Here are a couple more of plants from our yard. This summer we spent a
lot of time planting a new perennial garden where there had formerly
been a tree. Missing our tree, we decided to make lemonade out of lemons and plant sun loving plants! It's been a labor of love. Tom did
all the hard work.
Obviously the petunias aren't going in the garden but aren't their
colors lively?
I'll continue trying to make up to you for all the photos you've missed.
Praise be to Tom sitting alongside me. I didn't know to right click to
get the "paste" menu.

Beautiful! Are those cone flowers? They look like it but the color is unusual. Very pretty!

Yay for the photos. It is so much more fun to write entries when you can post photos. We've planted a few perennials this year.
