All these years and I didn’t know …. in The odd entries from life …….

All these years and I didn’t know, today is ‘Left Hander’s Day’ and here I am left handed near the full 63 years, the ‘near’ relates to a few days in my early school years! Strange that education as close as the mid 50’s were against the minority who were blessed being left handed, many like me are quite ambidextrous, yet at school I stood at the wickets with the same bat as every one else; there can’t be much between a right or left bat unless you play for England.

I don’t use any left handed implement’s, for writing or drawing I’m fine with the usual pen, one that can spell would be good; and if someone tries to sell you left pencils point out they are already ambidextrous. I do shun the scissors with shaped handles, I can use them but I find them uncomfortable; a piece of over design that limits their sale to those right-handed.

One thing about have this one oddity, I have little time for people have a go at someone who is a little different, in a conversion about ginger hair some said there is nothing wrong with ginger hair, but you must agree it is strange! I thought to myself ‘it’s like having a brain but still cant come to a sensible conclusion’ It’s one of humanities falling, to fine an other person odd because of the colour of their hair, the hand you use for your fork or along the ginger theme ‘being in a same sex relationship’ There is a link – A E Housman ……

Oh Who Is That Young Sinner

Oh who is that young sinner with the handcuffs on his wrists? And what has he been after that they groan and shake their fists? And wherefore is he wearing such a conscience-stricken air? Oh they're taking him to prison for the colour of his hair.
