I wanted to write about something other than my kids but I didn't: in --

I really should be trying to sleep. Lor will be up soon, and maybe have an awake period. Usually when she does and it's nighttime I have her play in her bed until she puts herself back to sleep. I don't want her to think nighttime is playtime! She is pretty good at putting herself to sleep.. it feels magical. She does tend to get overtired though. After about two hours if she hasn't gone to sleep, she gets difficult to put to sleep from being overtired and she cries a lot.

Lorelei has made me want to have more babies. Then I really think about it and I am glad I am done, but... part of me is also sad. As much fun as pregnancy wasn't, I still had those really special moments of feeling the baby and it was interesting. And it was the only time that I didn't really feel bad about my body (until I got to the very end).

I am going to miss the new baby smell, and snuggly newborn phase. :(

Cannon is still pretty attached to Jacob. Jacob is the one that puts him to sleep and plays with him because Lorelei is always attached to one of my boobs. I did give him a bath today and tried to spend some one-on-one time with him that way.

He dances to the sound of my breastpump. It's hilarious, and it makes pumping more entertaining.

I haven't been able to pump today though, or for a few other days last week. My boobs just don't have anything extra most days from her nursing so much.

We went to the mall today. It was surprisingly successful. Cannon had a total of zero fits, and Lorelei slept the entire time. Wow. we had two different strollers and it felt like we had a caravan. I want a double stroller.

Also shopping with a teenager is fucking annoying. No wonder my mother got irritated with me back then sometimes, jeez. I tried to get her to buy jeans. She has no jeans at all. She said she doesn't like jeans, she doesn't like the way they look. I said she should get some plain tops/tees for school. She doesn't like tee shirts. What. Who doesn't wear tee shirts and jeans.

The most irritating part? I bought her summer clothes at the beginning of summer, and she wears almost none of them. SHE DOESN'T WEAR MOST OF THE STUFF WE BUY HER. Clothes are expensive. Teenagers don't seem to get that though. It's like "Hey. Here's some money. Why don't you take a lighter and burn it in front of me and laugh while I cry!" D:

Sigh.

Jacob keeps being mean and groping me and whatnot. :( Lorelei is only three weeks old, so there is no sex happening for at least three weeks. And let's be real here, it's more like 10 weeks. Or years. Ten years. :P

Anyway.

I am really proud of Lorelei for sleeping in her own bed for a total of four hours the other night. She is getting better at sleeping on her own. I am completely shocked that a kid will do that, after having known my son. He still sleeps in our bed, and I think he will for a long time. I don't mind though. He just needs to be close with us. <3
