So many gays in one day in Adventures in paradise

I just didn't STOP this weekend!

This isn't a risque entry. Get your mind's out of the gutter :P

I worked every night (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), yet I still managed to keep up with everything that just happened to be planned out this weekend during the day.

I also fit in a couple of gym sessions after work, so I think I've done pretty well.

First up was Matt's going away, as he's moving to London in a week, so I just had to go and say goodbye to him. First of all, I went into the city to buy him a going away present. It was a little bit smart-ass and it was only going to set me back a couple of bucks, but my idea was to buy him one of those magnets that you can stick on the fridge with a picture of Brisbane on it, so it would remind him of home. But it also has a thermometer on the side of it, so he can track how cold (and dreary) it is in London, compared to here :P

I catch the bus there, and of course, in typical me-fashion, I manage to realize at the last minute that the bus has taken me much further than I wanted it to, so I hit the 'Stop' button and jumped off the bus and had to walk pretty much a kilometer back in the direction the bus had come from. Doh!

However it wasn't all bad. I got to walk along the boardwalk there and look at a lot of the pretty houses on my side and the other side of the river. I had to wonder to myself if I'd ever even walked along that particular boardwalk before, as nothing seemed familiar. Then I told myself that there must have been at least one time, a long long time ago... I think :P

Anyway, I found Matt and a whole group of randoms I didn't know. His shaved haircut is unmistakable so I knew it was him. I went up and said my hi's and he seemed happy to see me, so that was good haha.

I knew his housemate and also our friend Scott was there, who happens to be his ex. I gave Matt my pressie and he goes "Aww my building isn't on here!". He (at the moment) lives in one of the highrises along the river, and I realised that magnet must have been produced before that particular highrise was built. Gah! Anyway, Matt joked that he would draw it in in texta pen haha.

I sat down with Scott for a while whilst Matt went and chatted to other people. We chatted about their European adventure and when Matt was dragging Scott around to pretty much every bath-house in Europe, which made Scott very uncomfortable, as it's not his scene at all. When Matt returned, he joined in on the conversation and we were talking about the year we all (including me) rented a hotel room with another guy and he rented a separate room for the lesbian, which was used as a hook-up room when she wasn't in there. It was such a strange situation because this other guy (also named Matt) was on a slut-rampage, Scott and Matt were a couple and I was, well, me.
So I joked with them about the time I woke up in the morning and could hear them having sex from their room haha. They've since broken up since all this happened years ago, so it's nice to see they are still friends, and were joking about an "invisible leash", and Scott says, "Yeah. That invisible leash was called a relationship." Man, he's a funny guy! It sucks I don't get to hang out with him more often.

That other guy is currently working over in London, and two other friends are living in Germany, so they are all meeting up and going on a group holiday to Greece. Matt is not looking forward to it because he claims that this other guy (Matt) has organised everything to a T - even what days and what meals they are having, and Matt reckons that will just drive him insane. It would drive me crazy as well! I joked that Matt (other guy) will have his voucher book out to save money on everything, which made the boys laugh, as he seems to carry that entertainment book everywhere haha.

Anyway, I had told them I couldn't stay long, as I was on my way to another party, so I bid my farewells and caught a bus back to the city and transferred from that to another one. Thankfully this time I was okay and I found the street and the address and rocked up to this other party about two hours late or so. It turns out to be not far from where I used to work, but I was a bit disappointed that nothing was open in that area on a Saturday afternoon, because I wanted to buy them a housewarming present, and I didn't want to have to buy a plant in the city and then have to carry a big pot and a plant on the bus with me. I probably wouldn't have been allowed to anyway. Blows not having my own car anymore sometimes!

This party was a combined housewarming and birthday party for Reece's boyfriend, so I turned up there and recognised his boyfriend from the front window through to where they were all gathered in the backyard. The door was open, so I just let myself in, calling out a "hello?" Bonnie saw me and said, "Oh thank God, someone I know!" and gave me a big hug. Reece was close behind and we hugged and they were just bringing food out to where everyone else was sitting at the table out on the back deck, so it turned out to be awesome timing on my behalf! :D I was hungry too! I hadn't eaten since a scoffed down breakfast that morning. Firstly Reece's boyfriend gave me a hug when he saw me, and Reece introduced me to the other six guys at the table, although I knew I'd forget their names the minute they were said. I do remember a Jame and a Luke. I sat down the end of the table with Bonnie and we chatted for a bit. Reece's bf got me a drink and I took a sip and went 'Whoa!' Bonnie said, "Yeah, he makes them strong." Haha. I said, "I can't rock up at work smashed as a crab!" The guy next to me struck up a bit of a conversation with us, asking what we did. We rattled off our jobs and we asked him and he told us he was a business analyst for the QLD government. "Well then!" Bonnie scoffed, jokingly. We all laughed.

Bonnie and Reece are best friends. They way they talk and banter with each other and their wit is just crazily cute to watch. It's like they NEVER run out of funny things to talk about. There was a cute dog running around over the fence next door and two guys were there and they handed the dog over the fence to Reece, where he excitedly held it and the dog kept licking him. It was SO cute. I managed to snap a snappy.

After we ate a delish BBQ meal and salad, some of us kicked a soccer ball around that was laying in the backyard. It kind of changed around to most people there, and one of the guys joined in. I soon remembered that was Luke, as I personally found him to be the most attractive guy out of the group of them. He just had those high cheekbones and cute smile with a baby-faced look. The ball sailed over the high fence (which you can see in the above photo) a few times during our kicking and Luke simply climbed up and leaped over and retrieved it. So the boy had a bit of athleticism in him, or maybe it was just me perving, as usual haha.

Anyway, I asked where the cake was, as Bonnie was paying out Reece's boyfriend earlier by saying she was going to sing 'Happy Birthday' to him no matter what, which he hates. Reece excitedly got the cake out and put the candles in and we all say down again to sing a very gay version of Happy Birthday to the 26 year old birthday boy :D

So I had some cake and then we lit some sparklers someone had, and then I announced that I had to get going, so I hugged the people I knew, and said "it was nice to meet you all" to everyone else, and I made my way back out the front door. I was probably there for about two and a half to three hours. Bonnie invited me to the movies with her and Reece next week if I wanted to come, so that was nice of her :) I'll just wait and see if that happens, as I'd be happy to go. They want to see "Guardians Of The Galaxy" which some of my friends have seen twice because they love it that much. I don't even really know what it's about, except it's a Marvel comic?

Anyway, as I was leaving, I decided to have a look on Hornet, just to see if that Luke guy (or any of the guys) happened to be on there. As soon as it logged me in, I saw him - the very first profile. Of course, I screen-shotted some of his pics, as I was surprised at how nice of a body he had underneath those clothes at the party - who knew? I didn't say hi to him on there however, as I figured that might come across as a little bit creepy - "Hi, I'm that guy from the party who is messaging you now because I was too wussy to chat you up in person at the party" LOL yeah right.

This was his profile pic - cutie right? alt text

And he's 25 apparently, so I assume he was one of Reece's boyfriend's friends, there for his birthday, as they were the same age. He had a few others on there, but I'll just share this one. alt text I wanted to ask for his private pictures haha!

Anyway, I decided to walk back past my old work. I can see who's working from the footpath, but I didn't recognise the woman behind the counter. I suppose it has been over two years since I left there.

Work went pretty fast thankfully. There's a new guy who's started, and the minute he opened his mouth, I knew he was gay. Finally! After two years of working with straight guys, I get a gay guy to work with! My other workmate told me that he was telling him that he lives with his brother who is gay, but doesn't think he is, and I was like, "C'mon. Dude. You straight-guy's gaydar's can't be THAT bad..."
