I don't have much in the way of flowers anymore. Various reasons. Lack of time. Lack of interest. Lack of bending over.

But a few manage to keep coming back. Here's a few pics:

Tuesday evening. Nice day. We could use some rain. Jim is mowing. He almost ran over a swarm of bees last night. That would have been fun. That's the second bunch of bees we've had this summer. A month ago they came home to the house and then this must have been a new swarm from somewhere. I always think I should find someone who would come and get them. I keep wondering if I know any beekeepers.

I got my scrap book started over the weekend. I have graduations photos and thank yours, correspondence from Katie, a summary of events at the county fair, a pay stub, a tag from the t-shirt John brought me from Boston, and a little miscellaneous. It's fun. Not sure why I ever stopped doing it.

Guess I better go out and see what's going on. Might find something else in bloom.

Have a good rest of the week , everyone.

Early morning addition:

I also went out for a while and pulled rag weeds from various margins of mowing. Rag weed and jewel weed. I left them lying on the lawn. Not sure how the greenskeeper feels about that. I could pick them up and move them to the wilds beyond mowing. I'll ask him. It's very dry and I watered the new flower bed and the pea tree - and I recoiled the hose.

Jim has not offered a walk the last few days. I was particularly ungracious one night and he may feel it's more trouble than it's worth. I took pictures last night of what's his name Miller's ultralight plane and of flowers - wild and otherwise that are in bloom.

Semi-interesting thing about the plane is that the guy who flies it's fatherinlaw flew one summer evenings twenty years ago. The fatherinlaw's was more like a flying lawn mower. This one looks a little more substantial. The fatherinlaw would fly up the valley and then turn around and fly back down. This guy lives in a different directed and his routes are a little more unpredictable.

There is a pretty clump of golden rod starting to color up by light pole.
