Last week it was to hot for the Thursday agility class, today it was nicely warm but there was a fly in the ointment, the builders on the new housing estate were going like they were working piece work; a fix pay for a job. But at twelve thirty they all stopped work for lunch, so perhaps not, but at least it gave us a brake from the noise, Lola went on the course first as nothing disturbs her; she ran through the course taking the jumps, the tire, the dog walk, the A frame and the three tunnels; and not forgetting [nearly] the weave poles!
Lola dashed round with her tail up, on the last two months agility compactions Lola has come second and third, Ziggy won both, Lola and Ziggy can be quite precise round the course and of course Ziggy is faster than Lola, in the last compaction Patch did a clear round, being part Border Collie he has more speed than Lola; so we will see how things will pan out next month.
So when Lola was about to stop so did the builders, and Ziggy had a quiet session on the course, a year ago Ziggy would be quite disturbed any noise, over the year Ziggy as really improved; seeing him take the course and not brake of to run around the field is a joy. Jo who is the trainer was pleased with Ziggy’s first round, covering the obstacles with some grease! Just at the end of Ziggy’s session the worker began working, so Ziggy was sent out one more time, he did a part of the course with out any problems; then Lola finished the hour.
Our trips were mostly ok it was just the last mile going was slow, its about seven miles to the class, six miles were fine but that last mile was a crawl, we wondered if the was a tractor at the front of this very long queue, after two traffic islands and a stop and start up a descent hill we found the problem, just after the second island traffic was queuing to get into a Car boot sale; from that point both sides of the road were crawling to get passed and get on with their journeys.
As we passed the field car park for the car boot sale, it was easy to see why the roads were so affected; there were hundreds of cars gleaming in the sun. To get home I took a rout through Newquay, our premier surfing resort at the height of the season was an easier rout home! At lest when we were home we did our quieter afternoon of the week; agility does tier Lola and Ziggy.
Note, despite help from a friend on porsebox, I still can’t upload images to my entries here, as well as the up grade of Flickr’s [those all ways stop my up-loads] site, my using a mac could be part of the problem. Quite a few of my photographs can be seen at:

P. S. I’m quite enjoying writing for now, but I must find a way to get some images out there, through Flickr or else where ……
