Hi season and good weather - is this real! in The odd entries from life …….

It seems this side of the country has been lucky, we have had some very warm days ‘perhaps a little to warm for someone you know’ most resent days have been rather close; a weather that saps my energy in minutes! But as I said luck has been on our side, the south west, over on the south east they have some bad thunder storms with the heavy rain associated with those storms.

One train station had an underpass to the platforms across the rails, the underpass was soon flooded, so people needing trains on the other side couldn’t pass threw as the water was five feet deep; and for people getting off on those platforms were in a predicament. Also some houses were flooded to three feet, all this seemed to happened quite rapidly, I must call my Sister and see how Portsmouth weathered the storms.

At lest it is cool over night, so far! Sweetheart and I went into Perranporth, I was shopping in the Co-op and then recycling our empties, the Co-op was rather busy and I also left an item behind, I was just about to get into the car when an elderly lady came up, to tell me – I think it’s the weather!

Perranporth is very busy this week, last week I went along the back road where the larger car-park is, while its busy I prefer the back road as quite a few holiday makers seem to forget packing any sense; it seems ‘I’m on holiday the traffic doesn’t matter here!’ In the Co-op car park was busy, what else a this time of year, and second set of eyes on the back of your head would be useful. When I got to the large car park [no just any size of car] where the recycle bins are, the park was full and a tore bus stopped through the middle; at lest there was space enough in the bins for our bottles.

I notice the Oz’s have over taken on the medal table, for a while we were leading but now we are hanging on by three gold’s! The top three are Australia, G 30 – S 25 – B 32. England G 27 – S 24 – B 23. Scotland G 13 – S8 – 12, I’m pleased to see Scotland going well as they are their games, no doubt they well do their best to close the gap.

I’m quite surprised at our weather, we have the holiday high season in full flow, and the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and all the important area are dry and sunny; and just the south east having a bad time!
