Yesterday – Saturday.

It’s hot and that’s not a boast, I’m not one who enjoys heat but Lola’s class went ahead, this class had a paddling pool strictly for dogs; owners and trainers were band from cooling their feet.

It was a day for the scenic rout as the A30 was full of holiday makers, both going and coming, the last time I tried the A30 it took a few minutes to out of the side road going east. I went to Truro last week, there is a large traffic island we have to use across the A30, round the year the traffic coming west or east enter the island to fast; so it is a crossing that’s need care.

That trip was better but for the worst reasons, now is the height of the holiday season and a time when it can take fifteen minutes to get up to the island, but I was there under two minutes and the traffic on the island were going round a safer speed. At the west exit there were people on the grass verge receiving help from medic’s and Police.

A Police car and an Ambulance were parked just of the island, once in such a situation I keep an eye on the traffic around me, I try not to get involved in a secondary accident caused by people eyeing the effects of the first. With the traffic coming round slower I expect there was a Police car positioned on the western side, I haven’t seen any reports so I hope those injured were not badly wounded.

Sunday.

Today we have a light overcast, so we have a warm dry day so far, and it was a good day for Ziggy and Lola at the agility class; the recent weather up to yesterday has been to hot for full out activity.

So the weather was good for this month’s competition, Ziggy was first again while Lola was third, this time Patches was on firm, he is a cross with some Boarder Collie in him so he is the right dog for agility. These three dogs are the best of the class, as Ziggy and Patches are fast and accurate, where as Lola is probably the most accurate but held back her size.

The weather is still overcast and not to warm, so the grass cutting I stared on Friday can be finished to day, the forecast storms of thunder and heavy rain are not driving me inside; or on to a chair in a sheltered part of the patio!!!
