First time yes, second time no in Adventures in paradise

I was looking forward to catching up with Vinny (the cute Brazillian guy) again today. We organised it earlier in the week to catch up for a second time.

It's been a few weeks since I'd seen him, because as luck would have it, I got sick right after I first met up with him, so I was concerned he may think I was using sickness as an excuse not to see him again. Like hell! He was gorgeous! That smile!

Anyway, so we met at the exact same spot, at San Churro. I wa even sitting in the exact same spot and got up to give him the exact same hug I did the first time. Very deja-vu. We even grabbed our same table after ordering. I just ordered a bowl of strawberries with chocolate dip. He ordered a banana milkshake.

We chatted for quite a while, so hung around San Churro for what felt like longer than the first time. My hair is a lot shorter than it was the first time I saw him, so maybe he had a different view on me? I dunno. I just didn't feel as pretty this time. I told him I lived in an all-gay house and to live there you had to be gay, and he told me a lot more about his courses he's done here and his work, which was pretty cool to listen to.

He asked me how old I was (haha!). I found it weird he wouldn't have just looked at that on my profile, as I'm not one of those guys who begins to hide their age as they get older on profiles.
I have a general rule when it comes to looking at profiles - if their age isn't listed, I feel there's a reason for that. I feel the exact same way if they don't list their weight, yet list everything else. Just how it is, and, usually it's pretty foolproof in my experience. I prefer the card out on the table so guys mostly know the major details before they meet me. So anyway, I told him I was 30, and I said to him, "You're 19, right?" (even though I already knew that). He's like "yeah" and of course I made some young remark. Did me telling him I'm 11 years older than him weird him out? Haha.

So, we went for a walk across the bridge to Southbank to see a movie (wow I might as well re-write the entry from the first time I saw him!) except this time we actually went into the right cinema haha.

I should have made the same mistake and gone into a different one, because we saw the only movie showing around the time we were there, and that was "Mrs Browns Boys D Movie."

Man. It was bad. OH so bad. In fact, I don't think I've seen a worse movie in my life. It wasn't even funny. Even the few jokes that were in it, I had to force a laugh. I had told Vinny that I'd heard it was funny. I only noticed one time that he laughed in the entire movie.
If it wasn't for the company with me, I would wish for those two hours of my life back. I hadn't seen a movie that bad since King Arthur. But hey, it wasn't walk-outable like THAT movie was.

I took a happy-snap before the movie started, so I could tag him on Instagram, as I have him on that, but not on facebook. Not even sure if he has that.

So yeah, I definitely didn't look the best. Ah well! What can ya do? Sometimes I have pretty days, sometimes I don't :)

Vinny said the movie was okay, but I think he was just being polite. The temperature had dropped a little down to 14 degrees when we left the cinema and he was cold, so I reached around and rubbed his shoulders a few times. He didn't seem as interested as he was the first time. He didn't rest his head on my shoulder in the cinema like he did the first time. Maybe the opportunity to be flirty had passed?

We walked back to the city, mostly in silence, a few words here and there. When we went to part ways, I decided to just ask him. Why the hell not? He could only say no. I asked him if he wanted to come back to my place and 'cuddle'. He said, "No, not this time," so I said it was great to see him again, and apologized for taking so long because of the flu. He told me to text him, and we parted ways. I think he just wanted to get inside where it was warm. I did too.

So yeah. Rejected! Haha. Ah well. At least I gave myself an opportunity, which is more than I've done with guys in the past. I went for a bit of a walk and just sat down for a while before heading home.

I won't lie. I was pretty horny. I just jerked off and tried out another condom. I just jammed the thing on really fast and, holy crap, success! So that lightened my mood a bit. Confidence is the key I suppose, and if I can use it when it counts, then that's the main thing.

I've got a full shift at work tomorrow, then I am off to Sydney Tuesday night for a couple of nights. I'm flying Tiger down for $55 and I'm flying Qantas back for $35 (using my Qantas Points for the first time ever), so that's pretty exciting. I wouldn't be going otherwise, and I've even told Ryan that I still may not be coming, pending on if Tiger cancel the flight or not, which they are prone to doing apparently haha. I've been lucky though, thankfully, so hopefully that trend continues. I'm actually looking forward to catching a Qantas flight back, as I feel it's been years since I've been on that airline. And it's only an hour and a half flight, so I'm sure I can handle that okay.

Ryan better fucking appreciate me going down to cheer him up. It'll be good to just have a bit of a chat. I've got so many friends with boyfriends lately that listening to another one bitch about his won't be anything unusual haha. Ryan knows good food and coffee, so that'll be a bonus. He even usually shouts me. Just this time, he has a boyfriend, but I've seen him before when he was dating a different guy, so it won't be much different to that either I guess. But I guess that was before our friendship changed also, so who knows. I've already told him to go and pick up Hugo (his gorgeous Japanese Spitz dog) for a visit to see me, as his old housemate now takes care of him, which is a shame. He simply thinks his old housemate can care for him better than he can. Hugo loves me :) alt text He's fluffier than that now.

When I got home, apparently my housemate had met up with the new housemate applicant, whom he missed earlier in the week when I interviewed him because he fell asleep. Turns out they got along like a house on fire, and chatted for over an hour!

There was also cake in the fridge. A bribe maybe?
