Life is too short to save you sopaipillas in Days of My Destiny

I made sopaipillas for my other cousins who arrive tomorrow. The batch was nowhere near enough for what I would ideally have as a hosting person. There were 33. I figured I'd need to make another batch. We kind of ate some... and now we have 22 left - that means only 2 each when my cousins come lmao. Definitely need to make another batch now.... just not sure that I have the time lol. Oh well, I'll just tell them life is too short to save them sopaipillas, hahahahahaha.

I watched a video of a really old man dancing his heart out. He had some groovy moves and ended up dancing with two other women even, lol. It reminded me of when I went to Tom's wedding last year. I'd forgotten all about this (until I watched that video tonight) but I actually danced with a man who could've easily been my grandad. We were all dancing and somehow I ended up dancing with him. He had his hand on my waist and oh my, he had strength! The way he was swinging my body around and making it twist and turn... how fun! It gave me a glimpse into just how fun it would've been to be a flapper lol. It's how they danced in those days, swinging around, twisting, turning, laughing, having fun... those men needed strength to do that!!! LOL. It was really quite surprising - and surprisingly sexy.

It's 10:30pm and I've had terrible sleep for two nights in a row now. Really I should go to bed and rest my body and my eyes - but I'm going to stay up and have my first go at making a Cherry Ripe Cheesecake. I want to make it for L's mum's 60th in a week's time so I thought I'd better do a test run. She loves cherry ripes. And as much as that woman drives me batshit crazy - I still love her and want to make her a damn cake for her damn birthday! Lol.

Did I mention John and Sarah are coming over for breakfast/brunch tomorrow too??? Yes we are busy busy!!! John is the new minister. He's such a nerd lol. Well she is too but they're nice. They have plain names. She is soft spoken and he's a dag with a daggy laugh, lol. I don't know that we could ever be friends-friends but they're nice enough that we want them at our house for a few hours, haha. Plus our kids get along. I am going to make pancakes. I've bought strawberries and chocolate ready to melt. When she asked what to bring, I said whipped cream. Oh yes, my friends, we will be having quite the feast! ;)
