... moves too fast. Moves too slow. We have too much of it or not enough of it.
Moods are like that too. I feel good. I feel rotten. I love my life. I hate it.
We can look for reasons for those perceptions. We can blame ourselves. We can blame others. We can blame the phases of the moon.
Besides affixing blame we can credit those entities when the sun is shining on our lives.
I am not in the best of moods right now. I have nothing to credit or to blame. I just am not feeling all that wonderful.
Enough of that.
Let me list some stuff and see how it turns out.
I got a new badge for writing half a million words in 750words.com. It started out my third row of badges. It reminded me of losing my 500 consecutive day badge... which I will now get maybe in 484 days at the soonest.
I watched a movie on youtube last night. It was called The Yellow Handkerchief and was a fairly recent remake of a Japanese film..... I suppose I watched it because it had William Hurt in it. He is freshly released from prison and he travels with a couple teenagers in a blue Oldsmobile convertible. It's nice movie. Earnestly made. No one has ever heard of it.
County fair is this weekend. I am not showing any part of me there - first time in a lot of years I haven't shown up at all. Kids are going this afternoon so I'm represented genetically.
John and family are home this weekend. They've been busy and continue thus. I fed them yesterday and might cut up pineapple and cantaloupe, and mix in blueberres for when they get back this afternoon.
Hans and Gracie are getting along well. Hans will be two years old soon and he is beginning to mellow.
Katie's lemonade/comic book/rubber band bracelet stand was a success. She ran it with two friends who are twins and they did the morning at one house and the afternoon at another. They made $30.25, selling items at twenty five cents each and giving away free water. They had a lot of teenage customers and the sheriff stopped by and bought lemonade. They sold lemonade popsicles at the friends' house because the friends had a fridge in the garage.
I only have a little left of the book on tape - Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods. Having a book to listen to in the car makes driving something to look forward to. The library seems to have a lot of books to listen to so I guess I will look for another. I'm still not a big fan of Bryson. He had a lot of negative things to say about forest service, the national park service, the army corps of engineers, and the state of Pennsylvania. They were read with what I took to be a British accent too. I figured he was adding insult to injury. On the other hand I enjoyed listening so it couldn't have been that bad.
We are having nice weather. It's supposed to be hot next week though.
