Questions? in Me Being Me

I have been thinking about when people repalce their fuurnishings and maintain their house and do repairs for their home? Weather you rent or have bough your home. If you rent does the landlord do these things without you asking or do you have to tell them? And do they bitch at the cost and tell you they have no money for any of this? And if you own do you have money saved for this? How much a year do you think is spent maintiang your home or the landlard maintaining things? things like the furnace and the heat vents and when there is a leak or some other major issue? I saw a commercial that said people spend $1700.00 a year and there is some sort of insurance for that you pay a small amount and they come and fix things and it costs nothing. Or next to nothing.

I am not sure if there is anything like this in canada but I think it’s something everyone who is on a tight budget should have. And I think it would be a good thing for landlords to have. I think it might save money in the long run.
Everyday that I live here and pay rent I am wondering what if anything was really done to make my living conditions more comfortable? I look around and see nothing. In fact things are getting worse and it’s not even my fault and it’s all because of wear and tare.
It’s funny because when I buy things they last years and when they finally do stop working I repalce them before they actually stop working. Like the new kettle I got. The scrren part of the old kettle broke off and I knew that wasn’t a good thing so I got a kettle that works much better and didn’t cost anymore then the one I had and plus it’s a nice bright neon lime green and it has a light till it stops boiling. And I can actually see that it’s stopped boiling so the water is nice and hot. There are so many small things here that need to be fixed or replaced and nothing has been done and it’s all getting worse and the issues are getting bigger. I tell the landlady and all she does is say okay I will deal with it but so far she hasn’t. The small things she doesn’t fx or maintain I can live with but when I look at them I see they are becomming problematic and will take more cost and more time to fix them. Like the seal around the counters is all hard and cracking and there are chunks missing or she did it and didn’t do it like a pro. Some areas are hardly any and other areas have too much so it looks really bad. And some of it there are tiny holes because when she put it on I did dishes right after and she should have told me to wait 24 hours or whatever so it can dry. I thought it was the kind of stuff that dried right away. See I am just a renter and should be told these things.
But whatever..Things are starting to get worse and all i can do is whatch it and say “Oh well, not my monkeys” because how many times do I need to tell her to fix things? Then she tells me I am rude. Well if she had reacted and done the fixing at day one when I told her then this wouldn’t have happened. And she doesn’t like the way I talk because I just tell it as it is and I say what I need to say and if the word idiot or fuck head comes out of my mouth then there is a reason for that. Oh and the word “cheap” is said alot. And she thinks it’s a big joke because she says “too bad, I am not fixing this because I don’t want to and I can’t afford it” And she wonders why I am always so rude to her? But the truth is no one else thinks I am rude I just tell it like it is and I get to the point. The first time I ask for something to be fixed I always “please” and then if I have to wait maybe the second time I ask I will say please again. But after that the nice words just stop. And when I tell her I am frusturated she tells me that it’s okay I can be and then that really throws me off the handle because then the profanities start comming as I say every second word.
I am one of those types that when I ask for something to be done that I can’t do I expect the person I ask do fix it or do it in a timely manner and not make me wait weeks or months or even years. I don’t do that to them. Infact when someone asks me to do something I do it right away then I don’t have to think about it again. And I don’t have to be nagged about it.
I hate that I have to deal with such stupid people who don’t have their priorities right. When you are renting out a place there is a certin part of the money that is paid by the renters that should be used to fix and replace things and I have had nothing except for used parts. Or parts that are gotten from places where they are not under warrenty or I get a sales receipt in case there is a problem with it.
I just wish when there are new appliences that they are the same brand and come from the same place and if there is a problem with them then they can be fixed by a qualifies person who has training in fixing these things and know exactly what is wrong when I tell them what is happeening.
A perfect example is when my washer leaks the land lady looked at the hose that was conected to the taps for the water. But I dtold her the water was comming from the bottom and she still hasn’t looked at any of the hoses. I know it’s either bent wrong or there is something in it that is clogging the hose. I told her this and she didn’t believe me she told me I have no idea what I am talking about. So when she does come and look at it she will spend most of the time looking at the different aread and not even take the bottom off to actully look at the hoses. And when my pipe to the kitchen sink was clooged she started to dump drain crap down the sink and it made the pipe clogg even more and then after wasting two hours she finally took the pipe off and saw what she did and went to buy a new one. And just because there is a process doesn’t mean it has to be done. She should have taken the pipe off first and looked to see it it could be cleaned instead of wasting time going through the different steps. But then she isn’t very smart. Oh and she said if the pipe gets clogged again I am evicted. So any greese I use I make sure I wipe it out the best I can and dump the greese intoi a jar I have and soak the pot or pan in water so it washed easier.
See when I am told to do something I just do it. Where as when I tell her to do something espcially weh it benifits her she doesn’t do it because she thinks she knows better but the truth is I know more then she does. But whatever..once an idiot always an idiot.

Onto something else…

Today I get to go to the dentist and get my teeth cleaned…Lucky me.... Then I get to go and deposit a cheque so now I won’t be so poor. And then I will be comming to the place I rent and spend some time with hubby before I start dinner. I am thinking maybe chilli? Or something to do with ground beef.
