You're clutching the wheel; you're choking back tears.
Romeo lied and the world fell down.
Your letters grew longer the further he flew.
His distance was nothing but poorer with speed.
His answers got shorter with time;
Your feelings got lost in his crowd.

No shotgun could tame him and no heart could stop it;
Some things that seem right fall so short.
Back home to yourself you'll see clearer
What you wanted was not really there.
A Romeo's secrets can sour.
Write "Kick me" on his back.

Be your survival, whatever the cost.
Be your tomorrow and write your new life.
Give yourself new tendencies here and now.
Leave your bitterness there at their feet;
Let them eat cake when you leave.

Have a heart for yourself; Know who you are.
The answers get better with time.
Let him get lost in your crown.
