Something out of nothing on a hot day. in The odd entries from life …….

The forecast was dull the weather disagreed, the forecast for the few day’s ahead are forecasting more overcast, Sweetheart is happy in side and out but the sun-lounge is one place we both can’t linger!

I’ve been in Truro today, I went into M&S’s for a mid-day snack, I like there bacon roll and today I wasn’t the only one, alas I settled for egg and cress sandwich, I had a small bottle of a still mineral-water, by the knifes and forks were ice and slices of lemon; cold water with a hint of lemon I enjoy when it is hot.

Like most I like a table by a window, but in M&S’s coffee shop of near forty tables there is just one real window, I once got a table next to a table at the window.

Today there were three girls occupying the one table, each busy with their mobile phones, and after chatting about the news gleamed from their contacts with their mobile phones; below the wealthy and the not so walked by unwatched …..

On days like today, hot – I don’t go to so many shops, I had a very short list for Boots the Chemist, their ‘on the shelves medication’ are on so many shelves you need a degree of fitness to navigate to find the things on the list, one item was on the lowest shelve; getting down there is one thing …… Thankfully I haven’t needed help for the accent yet, on the return the Park & Ride Bus stops at Royal Cornwall Hospital!

On my ride out of Truro I get the one seat at the front of the Park & Ride Bus, it sites you side ways over the wheel, at the car park I am second off, after giving way to a younger women who was on the second seat to the front; as I walk from the bus the young women is leaving me behind with each step – quite normal now. By the time I get into my car, those behind me on the bus have there cars rolling; the happy side is I have empty roads out of the car park.
