I'm still a little bit out of it these days, but thankful to be able to say I'm finally on the other side of this horrific fever that swiped the rug out from beneath my feet late last week. I went to work last night. It was probably a stupid thing to do, but hey I just needed to feel normal again. I had been stuck in my bed, literally for over 100 hours, except for when I went to the hospital and to the doctor. Not a very pleasant way to live! I don't know how the poor very ill people in long-term hospital care do it. I was going crazy, and not only from the constant coughing. That seems to be the only thing hanging around - that damn cough. It's getting better though. I can tell each time I wake up that the cough is getting less and less annoying. I was sure making a lot of noise at work last night however haha. My 2IC was nice and offered me a lift home after our shift last night, so I didn't have to walk home in the cold. I'd turned the heater n in my room before I left for work, so it was nice and toasty when I walked inside. So I'm nearly better! Not quite, but I can't WAIT to be completely healthy again. I'm convinced I've lost a lot of weight because of this sickness. In fact, I'm going to check right now... Okay I'm 83kg. That's not as bad as I thought i'd be, but I did just eat a nice beef stir-fry dinner (It's a good sign I'm finally able to eat again!). It pretty much means I've lost around 3kg. I'm glad it's not much more than that. Still annoying. This has certainly made me want to get the flu shot next year. I've never had it before, as I've always been scared of getting the shot actually GIVING people the flu, as it seems to happen to a heck of a lot of people. I just don't wanna go through that crap ever again!
