Went nude beaching. Totally and completely worth it. For years, I wanted to go, but Candi was always too self-conscious to go. Stick in the mud. Elissa and I pretty much have the same level of anxiety. More a thing where I just needed someone else to go with me. Scenery was nice; some good, some bad. Hey man, we're all looking. And that's OKAY. Bodies are just bodies. Saw one or two kids, which makes me so happy that there are good parents out there. Adults find genitals more perturbing than kids do. If bodies are not treated as taboo, guess what, NOBODY GETS A GODDAMN COMPLEX.

Oh man, I kept slathering sunscreen on us. I'm normally good to be in the sun for an hour without burning. Beyond that, sadly, I am human. We were out at least two and a half hours. Maybe that isn't much time at the shore, but what the hell else is there to go besides lay out and then go in the water to cool off? Every time we left or came back to our spot, I'd reapply. That is: NO BURNING.

Liz seems up to dragging Erik to the nude beach. There's that moment of hesitation in being seen naked by old friends, kind of like how you don't want your family to see you naked. But. Whatever man, I can get over that.

I love excursions like this. Just completely removed from daily life. No clothes, no rules, no judgement; everyone seemed totally nice and civil. The few people who had any clothes on looked like the odd ones out. We had this moment of... Ever consider how weird it is that we wear clothes at all? We ALL do it, without question. Why are there all these arbitrary rules of what we can and can't wear, of what body parts are and aren't "offensive" to "common decency"?

Pants are stupid.
