How would you? in Me Being Me

Fix the bottom shelf of a vanity? Would you just cut the board out and replace it with something not as wide and not steady? Like just slide it in? or would you just repalce the vanity?
The thing about this vanity is that it was pre fabricated and was already made and you can’t see the screws or anything else. I talked to some cabinate makers and they said what the landlady wants to do shouldn’t be done because it will make the whole unit unstead and not safe to use. So I have decided that I have lived with the mold and mildew foe rhis long so why bother especially if it won’t be fixed right. So when she wants to fix it I am just going to be telling her don’t fix iit.
I even suggeated that she build a different vanity because it would be cheaper but she said no to that. I also told her I would buy it and she could pay me back or I can take it out of the rent and she said no to that.
All I can see is when the bottom shelf does get cut i think it will make the unit very unstable and the peices left will just collaps and I don’t want to have to wait for her to get around figuring out how to fix it so I am just not going to allow her to fix it.
I just hope she doesn’t force herway in here and tell me this is her house and she can do what she wants. But I don’t see why let her fix this vanity if it won’t be done right? And she said that she isn’t going to look behind the wall to see if there is mold so why let her even try to fix the vanity? The issue is the mold and the wall has to be ripped out and looked at and see if the instalation needs to be repalced. And the whole usint has to be repalced and she is too cheap to do that so I would much rather keep the vanity the way it is and not use it. And I wouldn’t be using it when she fixed it either.
The thing with this landlady she really doesn’t fix things right and then years later she wants to replace the things. Like she wants to replace my sink tap because she says it’s horrible and it is but then I am not going to let her get a new one either. There is really nothing wrong with this one it works and that is all I care about.
I told hubby I don’t want the vanity fixed and he said okay so he will make sure she doesn’t fix it her way. And my mom told me to tell her no not to fix it so I am going to.
I figure that when she fixes something she really doesn’t know how to fix anything the right way and because she thinks she is so good at it (she’s not) that she can save all this money. But I don’t care how much money is saved I need to have things fixed right and by people who actualkly know what they are doing. The thing I don’t get is why not get it done right the first time and then it works right and can be used and the person fixing it can gaurentee that it will actually work the way it’s suppose to.
I really dislike cheap people who won’t even ask experts how to fix things and to look at all the options there are to fix it right. She also wants to put a new thermomistor so she can control the heat and program it and she said she needs to come down here and turn off the furnace. But I woun;t be letter her do that either because I don’t think there is anything wrong with the old one. So it will be interesting to see how she reacts when I won’t let her in.

Anyways enougb about her and her stupidity....

So today is Saturday. Hubby is going to work and I have promised myself that my bed will be changed to clean sheets and a new matress pad and new pillows and a new blanket. And I think I will be taking a shower. I just hope the landlady won’t be screaming at me because the hot water will be going down the bathtub drain. All these things she tells me to do to save her money is just horrible. And in the end it really doesn’t save much because stuff happens and things don’t always end up saving you money. if I had contro; of the heat I would be keeping the tempature at one setting and leave it there. And in the warmer months the tempature would slowly be at it’s minum. Like in the summer I would turn the heat totally off and leave it off till September when it gets colder. And with the way the heat is programed now I am finding that during some parts of the day I am just too hot and the bathroom is like a sauna because the door has to stay closed but it doesn’t shut because when the fan is on the door swelles. The door is semi closed because of the smell of the mold and mildew and the smell is less when walking down th hall but it still smells when I go into the bathroom so I don’t spend a lot of time in there ever.

Onto something else…

For dinner tonight I am thinking pork chops in the airfryer and some sort of fresh vegetable and funky noodles.

Well I need to stop here and get started on my day…
