Saturday almost 11am in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

Went to bed early last night thus got up early this morning. Just a little before 5 and started the coffee and the laundry. I have been doing some little projects this morning and seem to dirty up so many dishes and pans making my concoctions. Made a double batch of sugar water for the hummingbirds and filled a couple of the empty feeders and have enough made to last through a couple of days.

Next on the to do or to make list, was a concoction to hopefully deter the two male dogs from peeing in my flower pots. I have noticed that there are some flowers dying and no way should that be happening so think there has been too many leg raises on a couple of them. I found a recipe to try and kinda made up my own since I didn't have exactly what the formula called for in the recipe. I used warm water, hot sauce, garlic powder, chili power, dawn detergent and fine ground black pepper. Used a spray bottle that didn't have a big enough hole, so changed to an empty squirt dishwashing bottle. I shall see and know I'll need to reapply in a day or two and sooner if it rains again. I keep buying flowers. The marked down flowers since the blooms are gone. Silly people, they will bloom again. I've bought some at Walmart and Lowe's had wave petunias marked down to $1 so bought 3 and a hanging basket loaded with healthly looking flowers that only had a a few blooms on it for $3. The pot alone was worth that price. I deadheaded the hanging pot and now it is hung. I've got the wave petunias to plant up and some other flowers too. I discovered that a couple of bell pepper plants were left on my little table outside when I got home last night. Trying to find the lights that need to go in my Stinger bug zapper. Bought two of them at Lowe's a few years ago and now they've quit carrying the size I need. Grrrrr! Found some on Ebay but going to check a couple of other places first.

Need to get up and get going again. J needs to gather his dirty clothes and bring to the laundry room. He's only been up about an hour but sure he's playing games or watching something on his TV.

Oh and the wedding last weekend was nice. Have never been to a wedding like this one, but it was nice and very short. It rained the entire time except for an hour or so after the ceremony which the photographer took full advantage of a break in the rain. I'm glad as I took advantage of the sun popping out and got some pretty good pictures myself.

The GPS in my Verizon phone is the BEST!!! Had daughter's GPS too, but my phone one was awesome. Her GPS didn't seem to understand or recognize some of the 2ndary roads that led to the wedding site. I'm SO glad I have GPS on my phone.
