Small Win in Current Events

I managed to win and get my head in the right space that I wanted. I spent the whole evening deep-diving the material that we have learned from my physics class. I accept that I am slow. I need to digest everything. I need to make these concepts as small and simple as possible. Math is communicative and I need to understand these formulas in English. I have a stronger understanding of what we learned last class but the last time that I felt confident going in I left feeling stunned. I am not math intuitive and that is where I struggle.

The Khan Academy online does a great job of helping me understand what I am trying to learn in class. Perhaps it is just because I can go at my own pace. I wrote down my knowledge gaps and they matched perfectly with the prerequisites for this course. Algebra, trigonometry and the Pythagorean theorem. They have resources to learn those as well. Tomorrow will be a heavy math day for studying. I’m feeling sick to my stomach about it but whatever. I’m not ready to give up on this course.

I will still see the math tutor before class on Wednesday. I didn’t do the hand-in assignment yet but I had a sigh of relief while I was studying today about it. I understand what I need to do to get the answers. I was a lost cause with the practice questions that we were given last class, tomorrow we shall see if I can manage.

The overwhelming part about this is that it is kid stuff compared to what is coming. FML.
