Write about a birth in your family
I’m not quite sure how to do this one. I haven’t been around a lot of births except the births of my own children. I do not want to write such personal details about my own children though so that counts out those stories. I have had nieces and nephews born, but I only know their stories in passing. I think I will have to pass on this question.
Tell your story about how you made a friend in the past five years or so. How did you meet them? What do you like about them?
I don’t make many friends. In fact I have dropped more casual friendships in the past 5 years than I have made in the past 10 years. I simply have no more tolerance for the B’s. Bitches, boyfriends and baby daddies. I can’t stand drama. I would rather read a good book in the silence of my home than listen to someone’s drama. That being said I do have a 3 friends that seem to have stuck around. One friend is still a drama queen and I use the term friend loosely because I do not pursue friendship with her but she pursues friendship with me relentlessly. I think officially we would be considered close acquaintances but I don’t have many friends so I count her. The other friend I have is a woman I met at a healthy relationships course for battered women. We aren’t close, and we have only met for coffee once, but it’s nice to have someone to talk to who gets it. The third friend is someone I have known since I was 5. We don’t even behave like friends so much anymore. She doesn’t live close and struggles with extreme poverty, domestic violence and mental health issues. I consider her a more of a sister than a friend. I have to, because she is not a happy light in my life, but she needs me. She knows all my secrets. At one point we were extremely close and I hope that one day we can get back there but her choices in life have led her down a very dark path. I help her all I can but you can only help someone as far as they are willing to let you help them.
