hair today...yesterday in Second 1st

So … what has brought me here randomly? .... a bunch of little things....

The accident was Monday, I had an appointment in Nashville on Wednesday so I just worked 2 days of Doordash at $135 to catch up and be able to get the weekend off. I feel like I need it from the stress of the week. I’m sure no one can blame me.

Monday I will find out if, when, and how much from insurance. Until then I have a future plan in mind. Starting Monday I will be working 6 days a week $100 a day. I plan on doing that for 10 weeks. This will put back $150 a week and in 10 weeks I”ll have $1500 to look for a car with. The plan will change if any of the following happens: 1)Rocky decides that even though our future is kind of up in the air that he wants to help and do some OT 2) insurance pays out anything or fixes my car 3) I decide to use the $480 I’ve saved so far for a trip to MI.

Rocky’s making food tonight. He cooked a bunch of meatloaf for weekend lunches and dinners but because MLK day he had Friday off.... so… he’s making it for dinner tonight. I was going to make Saulsbury steak. I’m going to make it tomorrow and set it up as easy premade freezer meals.

I really came here because I wanted to note something I did.... it requires a small amount of backstory.... not much…

My ex-husband used to talk down to me. Not directly but so innocently, it took a while for me to notice the damage it was causing. “you should do your hair like this” pointing to some Hollywood model in a magazine. “Oh wow that looks nice but honestly it would take so long with my thick hair.” “You should just get your lazy butt up earlier.” ..... “You should get some blue contacts, you know, for pictures and stuff so your eyes will be prettier.” ..... He apologized a few times for staring at black girls a lot, he just thought their hair was so pretty..... I explained to him so many times that yes, it’s pretty but most of the time it’s not real .... don’t come at me I’m not saying its not pretty.... just it’s not ALL hair.

Today I saw 2 amazing hairstyles that happened to be on black women. The first was on a woman in her early 20’s, it was all-natural and looked great of course I told her. I thought it was so pretty and full. enter link description here There was also a child… couldn’t have been older than 12 so I approached her mother first. “Mam, her hair looks amazing.” The mother was wearing a wrap thing that basically hid her hair altogether making it obvious that she had made some kind of sacrifice to have her daughters done. Rocky and I talked and we figure either she put in a ton of time and effort and didn’t get to her own locks or a bunch of money and her daughter had an appointment first… I had approached the mother first because I didn’t want her to think ill of me if I talked to her daughter out of nowhere, being that young. kind of like this only more mermaid-like with light blue, white and purple. It was seriously so pretty I teared up a little and felt the need to blog about it lol. So there ya go.

SO that sat here overnight because dinner was done and my computer kept freezing .... whatever....
