Describe your favorite toy or game when you were 5 years old.

Once again a difficult one. I wrestle with myself regularly over these because I want to do them, but I procrastinate on them as they ask questions I truly struggle to find an answer to. I can’t remember much of my childhood let alone, being 5 years old and I really don’t remember many things from my life in the black years let alone favorites either. I do vaguely remember walking around the house with my two middle fingers held in a cup of cold water when I was probably close to 5. I was repeatedly telling my mom nothing was wrong I was just holding my cup of water. In truth, my sister and I had been hot-gluing the Jenga blocks together in the basement and I had burnt my fingers. Shockingly…I did not fool her. I have also been told and might have some vague recollection of sneaking my mom’s nylons out of the bin and making them into barbie clothes with my little sister. I struggle sometimes to know what is a true memory and what I have manufactured from hearing the stories, but those are the only ” memories” of toys from the black years that I have.

Write about one of your most useful talents.

This question assumes I have talents. I do not feel I have any actual talents. I am an avid reader but that’s not a talent. I don’t sing particularly well, or draw. I’m not good at trivia or dance. My closest thing to a talent I think would be my ability to read people’s emotions but I think that’s likely just a trauma response. So I guess for my answer I will have to say reading is my talent....unless you include breathing, I’m pretty good at that!
