It was time in keeping it postive

I started to use the ceiling fan in the bedroom last week, and it was time, today, to set up the fan in the kitchen.

I opened the window - it'll slam down again if I am not careful - and put the fan in place. Hopefully it'll keep that room cool... and send some cool air into the long hallway.

I also opened the window in the cat's room (yes, he has a room - it's where his food, water and litter box are). I put the screen in place. I found some holes in the screen, so it'll have to be replaced this summer... very soon.

I learned a couple of years ago that I cannot use regular cat litter in the summer, so I shred newspaper and discard it every morning. It works well. I only have the one cat, so there's no problem. If I use the regular litter, I run the risk of growing my own flies at home... Once I started using the newspaper, the fly population explosion disappeared.

There'll come a time in the summer when I get out of bed a few times a night, take a shower to cool off and hopefully fall asleep before I heat up too much again. And, NO, I do not have an air conditioner. There are maybe five nights where it would be absolutely "necessary"... but if I had one, I would use it much more than that. And I can deal with five days or so of uncomfortable heat.

I agree about air conditioning. When I lived in Florida I turned the air con of in my room, it have me a horrible cough and I live being warm :-) x

In addition, I have a wonderful view that I don't want blocked and LOVE the feel when the breeze comes in.
