Zippers Are Hard

I spent a few more hours on it tonight. I did my first zipper; a slanted breast pocket zipper. It doesn’t look very great. Zippers seem to be challenging for beginners, but this was even worse because I had to add those little flap things in there. I shouldn’t got cocky and tried to use light blue for the upper flap. I’m not sure if I’m going to scrap this or not. I kinda wanna do it in all black – even the zipper.

HOOD IS COMPLETE!

This morning I added the final lower pieces by the chin to complete the hood.

I was dreading this step last night and was thinking about how I would do it while I laid in bed trying to fall asleep. I was up early this morning and came up with a way of getting it done that I’m happy with. Thankfully it’s only 10am and I still have the rest of the day to do other stuff (I took off from work until Thursday).

You can see that on the inside part where the hood rubs against your face I used a soft knitted material.

I’m gonna put this away for now and maybe pick back up on it tonight.
