The Package in Talk Story

Aloha...

I received a package today... well truth be told it was a large box... that a flat screen t/v had come in to somebody...

I knew it would arrive here this week... sent to me by one of my nieces...

It was a collection of scrapbooks... and photographs of my family... all since "passed away"...

I am not a talented enough writer... to describe how sad I felt looking at the past... seeing people I loved... family and friends... knowing that in this life I would never see them again...

I made myself look at everything in the box... all the while tears streaming down my face...

I have put it all away... stored safely with other reminders of my family... most likely never to look at again...

I have to share with you... it really sucks being a survivor...
