Wednesday.

It looks as if our period of sunshine and blue skies is slipping away, of course I’m not surprised with the events happening this week end and rolling over in to next week, yes Glastonbury starts tomorrow; and Wimbledon has been progressing nicely under said blue skies.

The forecast is wet from tomorrow until mid next week, we had some thunder type clouds yesterday with out the bangs and flashing, today we have the early clouds about so far with any dampness. So once more Glastonbury on television will be ok, in an out of the rain sort of way!

Thursday.

Glastonbury opens today, we have had rain over night and though the morning, there is the same weather expected in Somerset, as the fans arrive the feet of 200.000 people well make their mark every where they tread. Blondie is on the Other Stage to day and Lily Allan on the Pyramid Stage, two names I just happen to recognise.

I’m not quite sure when Glastonbury is on the BBC, with tennis and football being every where I shall have to arrange my viewing, I notice a band ‘Rudimental’ on Pyramid, and a known act ‘Kaiser Chiefs’ on the John Peel Stage; they could get my right foot going ……

Sweetheart came with me to the Empire Cinema to see ‘Cream’s farewell Concert’ and a John Lennon film, I was ok through the Lennon film by my right foot, perhaps my feet got going as Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker got in to stride; I was told I was shaking the seats!

The agility is rained off, Ziggy like the Glastonbury hordes wouldn’t let a little rain stop the fun, where as Lola and myself are not at our best in mud, it seems to creep up your trousers; and worse should one slip! Summers are not all sun, also there can be mud.

[Edit] Today to Glastonbury opens there gates, those camping can get settled in and the music starts tomorrow – Friday! I was getting worried looking through the television schedule for Thursday, wall to wall world cup football and Wimbledon; then it clicked and I turned to the Friday pages. That was better, wall to wall Glastonbury.
