NJM 7 - reincarnation in Each Day

If you could choose what to be reincarnated as, what would you choose and why?

I believe in a sort of reincarnation, under the premise that energy cannot be created or destroyed. There’s just too many wondrous things in life to not believe in magic, even, or especially, when it can be backed by science.
That said, I’ve thought about this a lot. M and I have even talked about it, and we both agree, being a bird would be best. I can’t decide between a raptor or a hummingbird. Basically something that won’t get killed too easily… Oof, I just googled hummingbirds and seems they have a lot of threats, mostly when they’re wee.

Anyway, the reason why I’d choose a bird is the idea of freedom. Being able to fly is the main factor. Really birds are no more or less free than other non-human mammals, but the means/ease of travel is superior, and in my head that means greater freedom. You don’t have to be an enthusiast to look at a bird in flight, or at a feeder, and not marvel at their unique qualities. Soon I will have a second tattoo of birds (first one is magpies, second will be a Bataleur Eagle) and so far they’re the only creature I’ve felt compelled to get tattooed on me (that is until Red and I get our matching fox and raven - another bird! - tattoos, someday).
