That's the ticket. in A small but passable life.

The internet at Hardee's isn't working tonight. Shit happens.

Things are going as they always have I suppose. I still haven't got the van cleaned out. There's not much left. I just lost motivation. I spend most of my days in the van reading and most evenings at Hardee's. I figure that after two years living with roommates that Jassy and Clayton could use a break from company.

Last week I took Liam on a long walk to the post office and back. He's finally calmed down enough that he's learning to heel and walk like a civilized little beast. He's smart, just bull-headed.

Francilynn finally emailed me. Her and Kay are still broken up. Baby Sky is still with Francilynn. She wants me to come over and visit for awhile. I put her off again. I'd love to see the kids but I'm not in the mood for Francilynn. I still haven't figured out why she hasn't just faded away, disappeared like everybody else has.

I finished reading "Knife of Dreams" by Robert Jordan and ordered book twelve in the series. I also finished "A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn.

I picked up two more books from the library yesterday.

When Jassy and I were going through a pile of pictures the other day I found a picture of my first wife and I cutting the wedding cake. I didn't even know I had that picture. I can't even remember what I was thinking right then. Too long ago. Did I think that was going to be a forever thing? Maybe I did.

I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do next, other than try not to think about it.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

That up there was last night. I ended up going over to Burger King, but I didn't get around to posting this.

Jassy came out this morning to the van and gave a Father's Day card. Too sweet!

After coffee we went to the grocery store. She had made a two-week menu and a shopping list. We spent $111. If it lasts for two weeks we'll be good. That will leave us about as much for the following two weeks. We're trying to feed three people on $189 a month on my EBT card. Jassy is still worried about making the rent at the end of the month. I hope they didn't set their sights too high when they rented that apartment.

So yeah, I finished "The Meat Racket" by Christopher Leonard today. It was an eye opening book for sure. If you want to know exactly why there is no real food in the grocery store and what there is is costing more every day, read that book.

I'm at Hardee's once again. Maybe I can watch some Netflix tonight. I'm trying to watch the second season of "Orange is the New Black" before Jassy's Netflix goes black because they have dropped it.

Tomorrow morning Jassy will be knocking on my window at 5:30am. I told her I'd have coffee with her before she goes to work.

Oh, and I finally got an email from Deb, wishing me a Happy Father's Day.

All is good. At least for this additional day.
