While eating a delicious buffet dinner, the feeling hit me. I put my fork down and straightened out my hand…
The shakes came back with a vengeance.
I thought it only last two to three days after drinking but I was wrong. Made a post on Reddit and got a few answers. Three days for the booze to leave the system. Now the detox will really hit. Also was given a list of natural remedies like chamomile tea and passion flower extract that’ll aid in relaxing the nerves. Looks like someone is hitting the store in the morning.
I’m okay right now. There is still a slight tremor but not as bad as it was before. Good thing? Not one single craving for a drink. I just wanted this to stop.
Everyone who answered encouraged me and says I’ve got this. I love the kind folks at r/stopdrinking.
I did manage sleep last night/this morning. Slept WAY too late in the day but it was worth it.
Recovery sucks man…
