Family the Original Socialist Government in Journal

DH said this yesterday and it’s pure gold. Yes I have heard it before - I am quite familiar with the idea that our authoritarian socialist communist power structure is fist imprinted through the family. The government is a reflection of the family, which is why Peaceful Parenting is necessary to change the world.

DH said these words and I don’t know if I felt more surprise, admiration, or pride.

We must be proud and relentlessly remind ourselves of the infinite value we are creating every moment. We who choose with freedom, equanimity of mind, and staunch loyalty to principle are a treasure to this world and anyone lucky enough to encounter us. I certainly feel this way about other treasures. And had it not been for their moral certainty, I too would still be lost.

Yesterday we were at the grocery store and DH’s brother’s baby mama (BM) suddenly shot past us after checkout. I never saw her coming. Idk why in the world she was running, and I don’t particularly care, but she shouted “hey guys!” And looked down at my belly and said “WHOA!” All while running by.
Anywho, DH sort of resignedly rolled his eyes and said “cats out of the bag,” or something like that.
Because, we haven’t told anyone. Not anyone who hasn’t seen us or contacted us or who gives a flying f about our lives, anyways. And I’m totally fine with that. In fact, it’s been a dream.
I was telling DH how the first pregnancy was a series of dissociative encounters with exasperatingly dishonest people. I couldn’t be honest without being punished. And that’s the lie that most families try their hardest to hide.
