The Intangibles in Everyday Ramblings

So I am leaving in about an hour for our adventure in a very nice cabin in the woods on the other side of the state for four days.

It is my birthday and I am not going to take my computer with me. This will be a very good thing for introverted me. To unplug. I have even signed into 750 Words and asked for the four days off so I don’t mess up my streak there.

I actually managed a handstand on Sunday morning. I barely stayed up there but I got both legs up together and felt the balance briefly, ever so briefly. I will try again later today with a family member to spot me.

The best things this year at 60 for me are the intangibles, the poems, the photos, the teaching and the weight loss, maintained now for 8 months, the quality time with Sammy, this unexpected year and my family.

Having never really gotten over Mr. Fine China the first time, I just traded him in for other guys and mucked that up royally… I think I am finally over him now. I can at least think about him with some humor and not pain, or only a little now and then…

Miss E. even sent me a congratulatory email yesterday. For a 13 year old to remember her great auntie on her birthday… that is something. I was touched, even if she was probably prompted. :)

So I am good.

Ready and available for what comes next.

The whole big joyful mess of it.

But wow! 60! Just wow.
