There are so many things that annoy me about photos in the digital age.
Food photos.
Oh how I hate food photos. I don't want to see plates and pots of food. I most certainly do not want to see half eaten plates of food. Some of it looks like vomit. I think I would rather see a feed of duck faced skanks on IG than food.
Fauxtographers.
It seems that everyone who has a digital camera is suddenly a photographer. It must really piss of real photographers. And don't even get me started on the people who flood facebook with photos of the same thing, pose, what have you sixty different ways with and without filters and on and on.
Blurred Vision
I have a "relative" of sorts who mass uploads photos and I would say out of 100, three are not blurry. Every single time she posts photos.
Cats
I am not a cat person. I am highly allergic and I have just never been a cat person. It astonishes me how many pictures people post of their cats. And men I think are the worst. A night on twitter, say two to three hours, there is probably sixty plus cat photos on my feed. I follow mostly sports minded men. Dog photos? Maybe three in the same time span.
I should tell you I have nothing against cats except that they may kill me if I am around them for too long.
Giveaways...
There is this thing on IG now where people are hosting giveaways and to be entered you need to like, repost the photo, leave a comment, provide a blood sample...etc. I have a couple of "groups" or types of people I follow and unfortunately they all think they might win some stupid online giveaway. Landscape
I know people appreciate nature and its beauty. I enjoy a beautiful landscape, a picture perfect snow dusted forest, a clear blue sky. And yes I take for granted the beauty around me because I live in a beautiful place. What I hate is seeing the same person post photos of sunsets. Fucking sun setting. I am sure in the right setting it is pretty, but just your everyday sun setting with a foreground of power lines is not that setting. And clouds. The fuck is up with taking photos of clouds?
This borders on a Photo Op...
IG Video
I would like to have a chat with the person who suggested they add a video component to IG. If I wanted to watch short video I would subscribe to Vine or Keek. There is nothing I hate more than to be scrolling through my feed than to have a video pop up of a baby sucking on a boob. I have nothing against breastfeeding, I really don't. I just don't think you need video of it on Instagram.
And there is today's Snark File Daily Dose.
