updates in Second 1st

Updates.... Appeal.... I got a letter That basically has all the things that were used in determining the denial and it says to let them know if anything new comes up before July 21st. I will have to call them tomorrow because I need clarification on the term ADLs (activities for daily living) .... The doctors apparently have said things along the lines of “unsafe to work” but because they haven’t given specific tasks that statement seems to be being ignored.... So… a call on Monday …

My ear feels numb to touch.... it’s a strange sensation.... to feel your own ear with your fingers and not feel your fingers with your ear.... paperwork says it’s normal.... and not to worry about it .... as well as the random pain.... I’m down to only taking ibuprofen IF I wake in the night with pain. I can handle what comes during the day mostly....except of course I still have the damn dizziness and pressure from storms so there is that....

I just checked the Vanderbilt patient site and saw that they scheduled me for a bunch of appointments .... luckily during the week.... July 19th! CI post-op and activation!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the 20th I have a visit with the ENT that was previously scheduled… then in August, there is the Neuro on the 10th and CI mapping on the 23rd. Then in October more CI mapping and an SLP (speech-language pathologist) evaluation. OMG activation is only 9 days away!?!! I need to email Lindsey (Med-El rep) about classes. There are 5 informational online classes seminars/classes to take that will be on Mondays after activation.... or something like that.

Working with Doordash is going well. I worked out how much I need to make to make it work for me and it’s doable. Here are the numbers .... sort of....
Rocky auto contributes a % of his paycheck that generally comes to 275 or so to the house account so 1,100-879 for the house note =221
Then let’s figure $150 a week in groceries… this is actually a bit high.... and not accounting for us eating out the way we do.... but also includes the phones as I usually pick up the cards while getting groceries.... 221-600=-379
Then car insurance=-125
internet + security= -135
lights + water= -180
lawnmower=-87
-906/ 4 weeks 226.5
Generally 1/2 of what I make is having to go back into the tank so that’s 451 a week.... and it’s doable.

I was talking it out with Jake and he said “He could contribute more.” I know, we will talk about it on Monday. The way it’s always been is I get money if I ask. I just don’t ask and I have to be sure to do it before he spends it..... I just put my own in and he has all the spending power while I make it work.....

We also have my medical bills to pay.... The 2 MRI’s (March and June) at nearly $1500 and the empty savings ($200) that needs to be at $2000. As I see it .... The more I work the faster this will all go back to okay… and we can talk about cost of seeing a consoler and whatever…

I asked Rocky about overtime and he said “I’m going to keep doing the plasma thing.” which is fine except....

Went to the doctor on Monday because Rocky has had anal bleeding. She thinks it’s an internal hemorrhoid.... so there will be testing and visits.... and more medical bills.... and because of the blood situation he’s putting off the plasma.... and of course no OT. Meanwhile ....

so far my record for deliveries in a day is 24 and this weeks paycheck is 465.18. I’m actually thinking about doing a few more in just a bit.... but dang girl!.... I should totally take the afternoon and chill.... stressing myself out is only going to cause more days I can’t work. Also, this is just the kind of work I need to do.... I can stop whenever I need to stop and put in the extra effort on days I’m doing well. ....Also.... it was only 3 days after surgery when I started trying to do a few runs each day.

Just need to get these numbers back up so I can stop worrying about it.....
