Birthday! in Since OD is shutting down....

We did the miniature golf thing yesterday which was pretty fun. It was super hot though and we were both just dripping sweat but it kicked off her day. I wanted to take her to do something really special today but she wanted to go to the park and then we went out to Chili’s for her birthday dinner. Then we came home and did cake and ice cream. I planned to order a cake yesterday but she saw a Frozen one and we weren’t leaving there without it!

It was a good day. My Mom came for about 30 minutes and that’s the only visitor she had. I don’t think she minded though because she opened all her presents and had a really good day. It does bother me that no one made much effort but it’s a reflection of them and not me. I even posted on Facebook saying anyone was welcome to video chat with her since it’s her favorite thing to do and no one did. I tried and always will but I’m glad that I don’t get torn up about other people not making effort anymore.

It’s still just so crazy that I have a 5 year old! It’s definitely something to celebrate for us both. I am so proud at what a great kid I’m raising. She truly has a heart of gold and just thinks the world of everyone, even when they don’t deserve it.
