I’m watching “The Terminal List” on Prime.
It breaks my heart on so many levels.
And reminds me.
Chris Pratts’s character comes home from deployment, and his kid and his wife have no clue what he has been through, and he tries to shrug it off.
Both of my X wives seemed to think that I was sitting by the pool and napping when I was deployed. They never for a minute understood how freaking grueling that life was. But they were going through their own kind of gruel. It’s not easy being a single mother, and in X2s case they weren’t even her kids.
I don’t know the answer to these questions.
The back is not getting better. If by Thursday it isn’t substantially better I am going to have to call the doc.
There are times I can’t even think. The constant roar of pain. Even recovering from heart surgery wasn’t this bad.

"The constant roar of pain" - a very good way of describing it.
Hope you feel better.....................
