a bit of a recluse in keeping it postive

I've discovered that I MUCH prefer my own company. I like to be alone, at home. The problem sets in when I just don't want to leave the house at all. I don't want to get the mail, bring down the garbage, do the laundry. So I find when it backs up too far... there's one day when I do all of it.

That was today! I showered and washed my hair before 5 a.m.! Then laundry was about 6:30! I did two huge machines worth. In going up and downstairs to get laundry, and to get the dry clothing, I was able to bring down various bags of garbage and recycling.

I went out to a local restaurant for my favorite VERY satisfying omelet - less than $5! Then on to the post office - I had books to mail, a letter to send to my pen pal, and two postcards to postcrossing folks (in other countries).

I kept going uptown, on to the Russian grocery store to get my boil-in-bag barley and kasha (not mixed... separate). I love them both, and this way of cooking the grains in the microwave is so easy.

I got a phone call on the way home that I was needed to work in the late afternoon... good! I hate having to work in Crimes Against Children, but that's the way of it.

So glad I got myself out early and chores DONE.
