Dynamic in Adventures in paradise

Last night I invited my housemate over to Vish and James' place. I wasn't sure if he'd like hanging out with them since his friends are so crazy and my friends are, well, a married couple basically lol. Anyway, it was something a bit different for him, and I figure including my housemate in anything is pretty cool, as I think he's a pretty damn cool guy.

We watched the first "Eating out" movie. I hadn't seen that in many years, and my housemate hadn't even heard of it, so it was cool to watch that again, as cringe-worthy as the start of the film is. It does get better toward the end thankfully. Nothing like four gay guys watching an uber-gay comedy gay film from the 90's haha. Even looking at the quality of the movie, you could tell how old it is now. I still remember when it came out, so showing my age.

We didn't end up leaving until after 3am. I didn't realise how late it had gotten. My poor housemate had to start work at 7am, but when I woke up (at a lovely time of 3pm mind you lol), I saw the oven was on, so it looked like he hadn't gone in haha.

I had a brief chat with him when he came downstairs and I thanked him for coming along, as he didn't have to. Vish just has this way of guilting people into it. We invited him to hang out with us on Thursday night with Carly as well (as she'll be there), but it might be pushing it.

I'm too self-conscious, around every new housemate that comes in here. Happens every time even though I've lived here for donkey's years now. I put the ad up again for my landlord yesterday, as it can only be done from Australia and he can't from the UK. The old ad had disappeared so I just copied and pasted what he sent in an excel spreadsheet to me to the site. I don't like the idea of forking out $24.99 every week just to promote the damn ad for him, cos that's gunna add up, although I do always get that back. Good news is I don't have to pay the gas bill this time around because of various stuff I've bought for the house, and I'll still be owed $50-something after this for the next electricity bill, which will prob be high as there's only two of us here. So hopefully we find someone cool soon and finally have a third person in this house again, and once again, the dynamic will change!
