About 18 months ago I signed up with the Cinnamon Trust, which is a charity that has volunteer dog walkers and pet fosterers for people who are disabled, sick, old or in hospital and need help looking after their pets. I went through the whole process, got references, they sent me an ID card and everything and then I heard nothing else from them.
Today I get an email out of the blue asking if I'm available to help someone! Just at the time when I'm starting to get busy with my full time job and getting more customers for my business. I'm sure I'll have more availability once I've finished my current job, but I feel I should accept it seeing as though I volunteered ages ago and haven't actually done anything yet! Sheesh I'm so busy these days with working 40 hours a week, new customers for my business and roller derby twice a week :-/
They say I need to take my ID card with me but I have no idea where this is anymore seeing as I got it about 18 months ago. I've also lost my degree certificate and my GCSE and A-Level certificates. I don't need them right now but it would be nice to know where they are; I think I need to have a sort out at home!
Jay bought Eric Clapton's autobiography from Amazon; £2.20 second hand, it's in really good nick so that's a good price for a hard back. But when he opened it, he found it was signed by the man himself. He did some research and it's worth over £100! Nice find there.
Download Festival tickets arrived at work today! This little bundle of 26 tickets is worth £5,200, and it just came in the normal post!

Sounds like your business is really taking off :) x

This is a charity that I wanted to volunteer for about 18 months ago when my business wasn't taking off and I had a lot more spare time, but I didn't hear anything back from them until just now, when I'm really busy! lol.

Rob will be well pissed off by that too! Good!

I made the mistake of texting Jay when he was at the pub and said you told me to sell it "for beer money" so he literally sold it for beer! I thought he'd get at least £50, they're going on eBay up to face value £200 :-/

Ah well, you didn't really lose out. John totally supports my idea on giving all of robs stuff to charity. :)
Bomb Shell Babe In Toyland ⋅ June 05, 2014
True! If I was going to give it to your or Rob, I wouldn't even have got a crate of lager out of it, lol. Anyway, I've just been sent the list of names so I can dish the tickets out, and it seems I've been put down for four tickets, not three, so I still have a spare! :o)
At least Barnado's are benefitting from all this, Rob should be pleased he's helping disadvantaged children.

Download tickets is such a good perk!

It is, but I would rather have a payrise lol, no one's had one for five years :-/

£100! Awesome find. Hopefully that kinda makes up for the Download ticket. What was he thinking? Beer? Nonsense. I'm gonna be honest, I'm really curious about what's happening with Rob. More than that though, I hope everything's alright (in the grand scheme of things), and hope it all gets resolved soon Xx

Ah, it would be a bit of a commute for you. Have you heard of Download Festival before? You have some awesome festivals over there that I would love to go to as well, like Ozzfest, Lollapalooza etc. We should do a swap! :o)
