I want to be offended,
I want to be upended
I want to know when you dont know
If it’s ok or it should go,
offend me

If your not sure, offend me
If you look twice, offend me
Please Don’t just assume the best,
You may not know of all the rest,
Offend me.

You saw her at the party,
He held her really tight,
It’s just a hug you told yourself
He telling her goodnight.
Offend me

You saw them after dinner
Having a tickle fight
Somethings off, your not sure what
It’s fine, you think, I’m just a nut
Offend me

You saw them from a distance
Does she need some assistance?
You ask her but she told you no
You shrug it off, you let it go,
Offend me

If you speak and it’s ok,
We live to laugh another day
if it reveals some hidden strife
You just might save a precious life
Offend me

Dont be the one, who’s never sure
Who thinks the time is premature
Who keeps it quiet, to keep a friend
If I speak now, I’ll just offend
Offend me

I wish I had been offended,
Friendships can be mended,
But somethings cannot be undone
This life is not a practice run
Offend me
