Spring is certain giving way to summer here, we have had a mixed week to see May out with clouds hiding the sun now and then; the constant has been cool air – those close to me put a ‘very’ before cool! But I was out yesterday and as I took a walk over new pastures the clouds thinned out I felt the full heat of a summer sun. So far yesterdays weather is still to shine on June ….

This field of buttercups was just across the road from the car park, all but one of the horses took no notice of me, the one horse kept and eye on me. The road took me over the A30, not a very busy day but a few both going and coming were in a hurry, the sound a male child’s song bent over a toy car vroom – vroom …..

Beyond the bridge there was a wood, I’m told there are paths to walk but I saw none, the trees stood close together with bushes between, I just stood there looking in. So I walk along the margin and no traffic passed just the noise from the A30, all heading west for quiet to escape the sound they make!
