Almost divested. in A small but passable life.

Prosebox says my latest entry was six days ago. It probably was.

I've been busy. I've just about got the van unloaded and cleaned up. A few more days and I'll have it done.

It's been raining for most of the last six days. There was one really hot sunny day in which I was able to open the back doors of the van and get everything out from underneath the bed.

Now I've got one big duffle of winter clothes, a shoulder bag, my briefcase, my knapsack and my manbag left. Everything else is stashed in Jassy's extra bedroom. I'll eliminate the manbag, stash the winter clothes and the shoulder bag in Jassy's extra bedroom and live with just the knapsack and briefcase.

I've been buying all the food with my EBT card. Jassy makes a week's menu and shopping list. We all take turns with the chores in the kitchen. Liam, the dog, gets walked by all of us.

Jassy started her job this week. Between the both of them they'll be getting maybe sixty hours a week. I may have to buy the groceries for a couple of months or so until they get evened out again. The move pretty well drained them. It'll all work out.

I'm at Starbucks. I haven't been over to McD's yet. This Starbucks is right behind the apartment complex. I don't even have to walk down the street, just through the complex and out the other side.

A couple of nights ago we drove a whole few blocks to my old Hardee's so we could all get online.

The apartment complex wifi totally sucks. Jassy and Clayton do plan to bitch about it, as it was part of the lease.

Jassy's extra bedroom will be never cleaned out. it is packed full of stuff. I have no idea what they would've done if they'd got a one bedroom place. I never did plan on staying there anyway. I also haven't decided if I'm in the mood for another Missouri winter. I think I've had enough.

The parking lot has made for some quiet nights and some good sleep. It took me a bit to get used to cars not whooshing by. I get up in the mornings and start reading. Jassy comes out after she puts the coffee on to walk Liam and taps on the window. I go up and have my cereal and sit with her and drink coffee. It's nice.

The van battery charged until the battery charger said 100%. That was a few days ago. I check the dome light every night. So far, so good. Here in a bit we'll transfer the title to Jassy so she can add it to their insurance. And then get the window fixed. I won't need to drive it, but I can borrow it if I ever need to. All I'll need it for is to crawl into at night to sleep.

Anyway, as soon as I get a new routine worked out I should be settled once again. At least now I won't have to worry about the van getting towed off or ticketed or losing the last of my possessions. I can relax a bit.
