yesterday I ordered two t-shirts from a place called fantastic.ca they sell hockey and football things. I think I paid a bit too much because the total price was something like $87.00 and I decided that I had started my holiday shopping. But then Easter is around the corner so maybe give it to him then? I also noticed that my son’s wallet went through the washer and dryer a few time so I want to get him a new wallet.
The thing about gifts I usually get what is a necessity and not very many toys. But the closer the holiday is the more I will ask what they want and get it for them. But I do like that one gift that they have no idea of what it is.
When I ask for gifts I usually ask for things I always wanted like kitchen gadgets. A good example would be an air fryer or a Insta Pot because you can do everything in those and I have heard it’s not always made like a stew but I need to look into it more before I really want it.
I think the best gifts are the ones that people think they would never get in a million years and when they do they are so happy and excited. But then the bigger the gift the harder it is to wrap and store till it’s time to give it. Something like a car. Now that would be the best gift ever. Especially your dream car or your dream home.
Onto something else…
It looks like my son is looking to live closer to me which I think is really nice of him. I didn’t realize he still wants me close to him and I feel like he and I will be a lot closer if he is closer to me and then he can come more often and visit if he wants. But then I think most children like to be close to their parents just for that security reason. I just hope he finds a place he likes sooner rather then later. But then he still has three weeks and a lot can happen in three weeks so I need to be patient and not worry so much. The only stipulation I told him is no more crack houses because it’s just not a good environment for him and he doesn’t want that either. But then there are a lot of scams out there and hopefully my son knows them all and won’t give in to them. But he knows most of the scams so I am not really that worried.
Onto something else....
I have a question? Why is it some people only go to church a few times a year? Why not every week? I can not understand why go at Easter or Christmas when you should be going every week? Why just those days? I figure if you are a particular religion like Catholics then you should go every week because some think that if they pray more often they will get what they want and need. But I think the real truth is if you want or need something you can get it yourself. When I was like 10 I wanted this 10 speed bike and I never did get the one I wanted and I also wanted a car when I was 16 but never got that either so after that I decided that asking for things from a higher power just doesn’t work for me. So now that I am older I know that hard work and saving money is the way to go for those things you want and need. it just makes sense to me. But going to church is a good way to connect with your religious friends and play catch up on their lives and they can catch up on your life and maybe make plans to see each other? And for the most part the sermon is boring because it has nothing to do with what you are interested in and you are left wondering why you even went in the first place. And I don’t like it how that collection plate is passed around and people are guilted into giving money they don’t have. How can people afford 10% of their income every time they go to church? And does the priest look at you weird because you didn’t give enough? How much is enough? In the Jewish religion people pay fees for the year so the synagogue can be maintained and the rabbi and cantor can be paid and all the other people who work there. I like that much better then no one really knows how much you paid. And it’s always enough for the maintaince to be done unlike the church where they always have to ask for donations. Anyone who asks for donations I never give because they always want too much and I can’t afford that and feel guilty if I don’t give enough so I just don’t. There are some things I will donate to because they don’t ask for a particular amount and I like that. And I really like those charities that when you give 100% of your donation goes to the cause like the orphan Funds. or any charity to do with children.
Onto something else....
Last nights dinner was Chili and it turned out to be really good. And I have left overs but only enough for one more meal.
Tonight I am not sure. I will be waiting for hubby to wake up and then ask him and whatever he wants I will do. I just hope it will be a one pot thing because then the mess will be a lot easier to clean up.
Well, I need to stop here and start my day…
Do have a great day....
Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe and Behave.
