Done deal. in A small but passable life.

The credit union in Missouri cut the cashier’s check on Tuesday the 8th. I found it in my mailbox yesterday afternoon. An hour after that the car was parked under my carport. I sent a picture of the car with the VIN# to Daughter. She called me back and we talked for a bit. The plan is for her and her boyfriend to fly out here (I didn’t want her driving the 1180 miles back home alone). And then I’d give her the cash for gas to get back home. And reimburse her for the plane tickets. The rest is up to her.

I think she’s happy with that arrangement. And I know that I feel better knowing that she’ll have reliable transportation for years to come.

I have more than enough cash in the savings account to replicate such a deal on a car for myself, but I really can’t think of what I’d use a car for. Not at the present time anyway. I haven’t even rode my electric scooter out of the park, or even in the park since I rode to that medical screening on Feb. 8th. And with the price of gas right now, yeah, no I really don’t see a reason.

Oh yeah, the Life Line Screening deal. All the tests came back normal. Nothing that requires attention now. Blood pressure was a little high for me, but in the normal range.

I’m still on my self-imposed life style modification I started on the first day of 2022. One cup of coffee a day down from three, which also means six spoons of sugar less. Quitting tobacco, again. And no more evening bong hit. (I still have Indica and Sativa in the freezer.)

And I have lost about fifteen pounds since Mom died as there are no more frozen pizzas and ice cream every evening.

Presently a BMI of 19.

Knees are still complaining when I ask them to do too much.

So yeah, on to the next project.
