This is "theater"... song, dance, MUSIC, mixed up. The lighting... amazing, the costumes ... wonderful... NO story (but so what?). It was a real Broadway extravaganza...

The premise is that you're at a show at the Cotton Club in Harlem in 1932. The interesting hook is that the lead singer keeps changing. There is a different diva every two to three weeks. We got to see Fantasia Barrino (from American Idol) - and she CAN sing!!!

One of the best "songs" was pure voice, no words. That singer has such a lovely tone and GREAT control.

I don't know if the show would've been worth full price, but YES it was worth the $72 that I paid.
