It isn't even lunchtime and I'm already FUMING at work on account of getting the blame for and having to waste my time fixing THREE different mistakes made by other people. I do my best, I'm efficient and helpful, and then, instead of being thanked, I just get told off for doing it wrong, even though I was given the wrong information, or the person who should be doing it is off sick, or the person you need to speak to isn't at their desk. JUST PISS OFF AND LEAVE ME ALONE.
In better news, I got my feedback for my latest Domestic Pet Care essay and I got another distinction. Boom! This is definitely the area I should be working in, that's 5/5 distinctions now and only one more to go. I've always been rubbish at writing essays and this is the first time I've been any good at it, so I'm putting that down to the subject matter. I was born to work with animals! Why has it taken me until age 32 to figure that out? In the feedback, I got one tiny piece of criticism.
"When there is no word count, please try and keep it under 3,000 words." I say: "If you want it under 3,000 words, please put that down as the word count."
It was only over 3,000 words if you include the bibliography and I'm not even sure that should be included in the word count.
Anyway, it was only 3,200 words including the bibliography or 2,800 without, so I'm not worried because it's not as if I waffled on for years, lol.
Mam and Dad are coming to visit me this weekend, I'm very excited :o) They're going to Liverpool today to see the Lion King at the theatre. They never go to the theatre so I hope they enjoy it, especially at £80 per ticket! Spending my inheritance ;o)
The real reason they're going to Liverpool is because Dad has his hospital appointment tomorrow. It's already been six months since he had his radiotherapy for his eye tumour and this is to check that it's all gone and to see if he needs any further treatment. Fingers crossed it's all ok or he could lose his eye :o(
So they're coming to visit me on Friday and, over the weekend, we're going to see an Eagles tribute band, visit Cadbury World where all the Cadbury's chocolate for the world is produced (I've been before, it's ace) and they're coming to watch me at roller derby practice on Sunday! I hope they're not too bored, I said I wouldn't go but they insisted.
Stuff and things.
