The house woes ……! in The odd entries from life …….

Saturday and another Bank Holiday, this is the Spring holiday but was the Whit Monday Bank Holiday until 1971, Whitsuntide was the seventh Sunday after Easter, these wondering holidays were not popular with commerce so our second Bank Holiday is fixed to the last Monday in May; yet these dates were known years or even decades ahead.

This weekend will be quiet for us, Sweetheart and I are nursing our backs, and our Daughter has a trapped nerve in her shoulder; so Ziggy and Lola will not be going to agility! Last Sunday she managed Lola’s class and half of Ziggy’s, then she had to come away.

Last Sunday was quite warm, so we brought Lola’s cool jacket to have while Ziggy was at his class, but when we got it out of its bag it was Ziggy’s jacket; so there was plenty of cool jacket Lola. The cool jacket’s are very useful on a warm or hot day, especially after an hour of agility.

Monday morning I had woken about six, after the bathroom I did a walk around the house, having the freedom of the home we don’t know where Ziggy goes during the night, I didn’t go up-stares and Ziggy wasn’t to be seen down stairs! Lola over night is predictable, she is always on the settee in the kitchen, either on the dog bed on the settee; or next to the dog bed on the kitchen! She was still lost in her dreams next to her bed, a sure sine that it was a warm night.

Lola has mastered sleeping, she likes to leave night time patrols to Ziggy, if there is a noise Ziggy will be curled up next to Lola; but not to close - he knows what a safe distance is!
